With a couple of clicks, you can take a boring sky and turn it into something eye-catching (an. Initially it seemed like random crashing with Sapphire effects but in fact I think it is mainly S_Zap. If I open a 16M JPG file and go straight to S_Zap, 4 times out of 5 it crashes. If I go to S_ZapFrom (or SZapTo) and then to S_Zap, it works 5 times out of 5. I’ve also noticed that when I uninstalled and reinstalled, it kept the ‘old’ preferences so I’m guessing the uninstall does not actually remove everything. I bought Luminar 3 when it was released and it has been pushed into the market with a huge and impressive roadmap for the upcoming months. If I had other issues I may have tried a fresh windows installation but that’s a lot of work for only having an issue with one piece of software. Unfortunately they weren‘t able to fix the performance issues a lot of people faced and secondly, they just got rid of the initial roadmap. Nothing's perfect in this world, except perhaps Bach, Coltrane, and Amarone, but those are other stories entirely. Wonderful stuff, Topaz! We look forward to what the future holds for this amazing company and their revolutionary software. This should be a valuable addition to any professionals arsenal of tools, or even to hobbyists and artists who want to print large with the best possible detail. This app does more than just the usual unsharp masking in either Photoshop or Affinity Photo it is actually adding details that are not in the originals, not just sharpening up what is there, but it does it intelligently and as naturally as possible. And for the short time I’ve been using them, I have had zero lock-ups and zero crashes, and they’ve had several updates over the last few weeks. All of the Topaz stuff works as plug-ins in Photoshop, or, as I am using them, as standalone applications. But Gigapixel is really taking it to a whole new level, and we can hardly wait to see where this technology goes. Having been around long enough to see the introduction of layers, and being dumb enough to not understand why you would ever need that (…duh!), and curves, healing tools, and what were possibly the first steps into this technology: "image awareness". Topaz Gigapixel AI offers some of the most impressive software technology since the introduction of Photoshop itself.
